A Rightful Ending

From Meriet:

Hello All

The story finally comes full circle.

Yesterday I visited Roberts Cousin, Steve Radmall, who was tracked down by Finders, the Heir Hunters. They had been in touch with me with regard to the contents of Roberts house that I had removed for safe keeping and they subsequently came and collected it all. I then contacted them and asked them if I could meet Roberts Cousin as I wanted him to know what a unique man his Cousin was, intelligent, kind, creative and loyal and to put some names to faces for him on various photographs that I knew he would be given having gone through all these things at Roberts house! The reason for this being that Steve was completely unaware of Roberts existence as was Robert of Steve. The two brothers, Robert’s and Steve’s dads had argued when they were young and gone their separate ways and there had never been any contact of any sort since.

So yesterday, as I said, I went with Finders to meet him. How extraordinary it was then to find a man, although not a ‘creative’, was by his living circumstances and suffering with mental illness himself, not so dissimilar to Robert. Like Robert, he had plenty to say, in fact it was hard to get a word in edgeways! He was very endearing and somewhat overwhelmed with all that has been going on in the past few months.

Now here are words I never thought I would hear myself say… “I am so pleased Robert did not leave a Will!” Roberts money is going to someone whose life it will completely change. It won’t take is mental illness away but it will give him the ability to transform the place in which lives, (he is adamant he will not move, it is where he was born), and resources to make choices, (this was all that Robert himself had wanted to do but never had the opportunity as all his money was tied up in his house, and as I latterly discovered, he mentally could not make that move…), and hopefully – back to Steve – the chance to re-connect with the daughter he has not seen for 16 years..

God works in mysterious ways… and I feel this is the rightful ending to what has been a truly said saga.

It has been a difficult time for us all – coming to terms with what Robert did but I do now feel I can finally say Rest In Peace Robert… Rest In Peace..

Kindest regards to you all and thank you so much for your support over the past few months.

PS: On Friday 26th February Irene, John and myself will be going to Eastbourne to scatter Roberts’ ashes. We will be there at about 13.00 and have booked a table for lunch in The Beach Shack for between 13.30 & 14.00. Should anyone wish to join us down there you are more than welcome!

Kindest regards and once again… huge thank you for all of your support.

Meriet.
