It’s hard to put in to words 21 years of friendship with such an extraordinary person as Robert.
He was unquestionably a rare individual…. kindhearted, generous with his ideas and knowledge, witty, intelligent, intriguing and, although he could talk his way through the black spots on a mobile phone, he was indeed a good listener too!
He was 100% reliable and sincere and I miss him already and find it hard to believe I won’t be getting a text with some quote from a movie or an email sharing something he had just found out.. but more importantly hear his voice, such a distinctive voice telling me, more often than not.. “If it can… it will go wrong!”
He once spent the entire journey along the coast line from Brighton to Eastbourne, when we were in fact going to scatter his fathers ashes… saying that one sentence! Brilliant… who else could do that and keep your attention?
I loved him for all of that and more.. How I would love to bring him back to show him how much he meant to so many… He was exceptional..
What an incredible character he was!
